How do I activate SMTP authentication in Outlook 2007?

1. Call up the account settings under Tools, Account settings...

2. Click on "Change"

3. Click on "More settings"

4. Click on "Outgoing Server"

5. Activate the setting "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and "Use same settings as my incoming server"
