What is the maximum size for an e-mail?

An email message cannot be bigger than 25 MB. It is important to note that e-mail attachments are being encoded with Base64 and therefore grow by 36%. For example, a PDF with a size of 18 MB becomes a little more larger then 24 MB when sent as an e-mail attachment.
